Me at Teepee Canyon, SD in search of jaspers, agates, and crystals.

From where my Jeep is parked, that is one of the agate dig sites up on that hill.

Another view of the Teepee Canyon dig site.

Looking West from the dig site. That's Wyoming over yonder ways.

A friendly local.

Up on the hill at the dig site, looking across the saddle to the other dig site. If you zoom in, you can see my Jeep where I parked it.

This outcrop of bright-colored rocks goes all the way up to the top of the hill.

Up Teepee Canyon, away from the agate beds, I found these cool limestone caves.

A black hawk circles overhead, wanting attention, or food. I didn't have a squirrel in my pocket, so he didn't get fed.

A small creek goes underground at the base of this cliff. I wonder how big the underground caves are?

A look inside the lower cave

Some calcite crystal clusters I found.

Some jasper and agates I found.

Lots of agates. Some have been rough-tumbled to see what they have to offer.

Chert nodules, some still embedded in the host rock. Sometimes these nodules contain agate patterns and banding, like the orangish-colored one by the bottom.
